Hey everyone, its been a looooong time since I last posted antything here on guru. Back in December 2009 I was checking the official guild wars site and I learned about something really cool called "papercraft", the art of making paper models from 3d models. Four beautiful offcial guild wars designs were released during that month and I assembled them all, and I haven't stopped ever since.

I have completed at least 50 different papercraft models since then, now i have reached a point where I'm capable of making my own model templates, i have some basic knowledge about 3D animation son it wasn't too hard for me to get started.

A few months ago I decided to make a papercraft model of my main character, so i proceeded to rip, edit, print and assemble the model and i believe its coming along pretty well, its 95% complete, all its missing its the finger tips, i'm attaching some pics for you to see

I invite all Guild Wars fans who have knowledge of papercraft-template-making to make their own templates too and share pictures of their work with the community.

The invitation is also open for ANET, plz we want MOAR Official Guild Wars Papercrafts! It's ironic that you guys got me into papercraft and you haven't released any more models ever since.

Important: I do not take any credit for the design of the model, because its property of ANET, all I did was a physical representation of a 3D model, made by their awesome artists, in paper.

Papercraft in general is so awesome, but I have absolutely no idea how anyone does it. Most certainly one of the cooler mediums in my opinion.

That is pretty cool! I remember going through a phase similar to that, except it was from this guy http://billybob884.deviantart.com/ and I was doing the portal stuff. He has some pretty good designs if you want to check him out (just to fill in while you're waiting for gw designs lol)
